Since April 2022, the Mobile Newton Room in Türkiye has reached 5,141 students and will continue its activities in its 7th location, Malatya city, for the 2025-2026 school year.
The Mobile Newton Room (MNR) in Türkiye was launched in April 2022 by the Science Heroes Association (Bilim Kahramanları Derneği), in collaboration with FIRST Scandinavia and the Boeing Company. In 2024, Turkish Airlines joined and began supporting the project alongside Boeing.
After Turkish Airlines’ joining the partnership, the MNR turned its direction to the region affected by the 2023 earthquakes in the southern and southern east of Türkiye. Adana city was chosen as the first location in Anatolia, and continued its travel to Gaziantep between May 2024 and September 2025. During the 2024-2025 school year, the Mobile Newton Room changed 3 locations in 2 cities and expanded its activities to kindergarten, primary schools and middle school kids.

In October 2025, the Mobile Newton Room relocated to a new city, Malatya, in the southeastern part of Türkiye. Through its field research for the project, Science Heroes Association developed a close relationship with the Province Directorate of the National Education Ministry and, as a result, the Şehriban Günata Anatolian High School was selected to host the room. Newton education will be offered until the end of June 2026 and is aimed at reaching 2.700 students all over the city from different age groups.

Science Heroes Association, Boeing, Turkish Airlines, and Province Directorate of the National Education Ministry representatives met with local stakeholders in Malatya to celebrate the opening of the MNR on the 20th of November 2026.

Reaching More Age Groups with Various Modules
Since April 2024, the Mobile Newton Room project has been carried out in cooperation among Science Heroes Association, FIRST Scandinavia, Boeing and Turkish Airlines. With the growing partnership, the MNR has changed 4 cities to date, and the modules run at the project have expanded to different age groups.
Including new activities for kindergarten, primary school and middle school students, the Newton Room now offers 8 modules in total, engaging students with practical, hands-on STEM education. The Mobile Newton Room has also organised special day events with pilots, cabin crew, Turkish Airlines’ and Boeing’s staff to inspire the young minds in the aviation sector.
