Croatian Study Visit in Norway

16 birž. 2023

This May a group of Croatians traveled to Norway to learn more about Newton.

Nineteen participants from Varazdin County and Town Ludbreg, where two Newton Rooms will be established in 2023, formed the delegation.

The participants had different backgrounds, such as teachers, principals, and employees in the county administration. It was everyone first time visiting northern Norway.

In August 2022, FIRST Scandinavia and Croatian partners received funding from The EEA and Norway Grants to build two Newton Rooms in Ludbreg, Croatia.

Newton to the center of the world

During their stay in Bodø, the visitors got an insight into the Newton Concept through presentations and participating in module activities. They also got to experience the Bodø region with a rib trip to Saltstraumen.

“This is an experience we will never forget,” said one of the visitors after the boat ride.

The introduction to the Newton module, "We Explore Energy," particularly sparked engagement and fostered the group's exploration spirit.

They also get to meet the Newton administration in their headquarters in Norway.

Maggie Skjelbred is the project manager for the establishment in Croatia and was happy with the week in Norway.

"Having the opportunity to meet the people in the Newton administration is incredibly important for new partners. It's a chance to forge meaningful connections, kick-start our collaboration, and set the stage for a successful partnership,” says Maggie.
