In this module, pupils will plan, build and pitch for a water pipeline construction project for a hospital development, exploring the skills required at different stages of the project.
In this module pupils will explore the skills that are important during a major project and how different skills can be used at different stages. They will use scientific principles to understand the environmental considerations of their project. They will work together in groups to plan their project, balancing the costs, environmental impact and public relations. They will build and test their route before putting together a pitch/tender. Overall, they will explore and recognise the skills used in industry and future career opportunities.
Pupils will work in groups of ~4 for the duration of the workshop.
