How to get to Bodø

The best way to travel to Bodø is by air. The airport is called Bodø airport (BOO) and there are multiple connection flights from the capital, Oslo/Gardermoen airport (OSL). It is recommended to book your flights early in advance to get the most affordable rates.

Scandic Havet, the conference venue and hotel, is located in the city centre. From the airport you can take a taxi, public transportation (bus number 1 or 4, for four stops), or you can walk depending on the weather (approx. 20-30 minutes).

When traveling in Norway, there are some important things to consider

Weather
In March, the weather can be unstable and change rapidly in Bodø. There is usually snow during this time of year. As well, the city is known for being quite windy and rainy during this time of year, so it is important to bring warm clothes and shoes. Comfortable and waterproof footwear is also important, especially if you want to take advantage of the nearby hiking opportunities.

Visa and traveling to Norway
Please ensure you have the correct documents when traveling. All foreign nationals must have a valid passport when visiting Norway. Depending on the issue country of your passport, you may need a travel visa. If Norway has a visa exemption agreement with your country, you do not need a visa.
