Newton network gathers in Rome for annual Partner Summit

Partners from across Europe will meet for three days of inspiration, knowledge sharing and, just as importantly, time to connect and strengthen the Newton network.

The summit starts with an informal get-together on Monday evening, before a rich programme begins the following morning. Participants will be welcomed to Newton Rome by representatives from Aeroporti di Roma and FIRST Scandinavia.

Throughout the summit, speakers and partners will share perspectives on STEM education, partnerships and the future of Newton. Among the keynote speakers are Norwegian science communicator and Professor of Medical Statistics Jo Røislien, who will speak about bringing mathematics to the masses, and Hans van der Loo, initiator and ambassador of the EU STEM Coalition, who will address how we can use our most precious resource to tackle some of society’s most pressing challenges. 

The programme also includes contributions from Boeing, Newton partners in France and the Netherlands, and sessions led by FIRST Scandinavia and the Newton team. Participants will also explore the Newton module The Inventor and take part in an interactive workshop focused on sharing challenges and finding solutions together.

And, of course, there will be plenty of opportunities for conversations, networking and shared experiences, including a visit to the historic Ostia Antica.
